Let's practice 'The Work' - Free yourself from painful thoughts and release the stress you experienced around IRMA. When: New date to be determined - 10 am - 4 pm (including noon break) Where: Unitarian Universal Congregation of Greater Naples, 6340 Napa Woods Way Prerequisite: No prerequisite necessary. Just come with an open mind. Minimum # of participants: 6 Maximum # of participants: 24 What is The Work? The Work is a simple tool, developed by Byron Katie, that we can use when we feel anxious, hurt or sad. It is easy to learn and helps bring us back to a state of serenity where we have peace of mind. More information on The Work here. Is this workshop for you? If you experience stress in your life and you want to find a simple process that brings you back to inner peace, this class is for you. You will learn how to use The Work as a tool that will be available to you when stressful thoughts arise. The Work allows you to explore painful situations and to release them from your body memory. It is also "preventive medicine" for future situations that may cause stress or anxiety. Curriculum: - We will Identify our stressful thoughts - for instance our thoughts around IRMA. You can also work on any other thoughts that brings stress, anxiety or sadness into your life. - After identifying a stressful thought and determining the situation in which it occurred, we do inquiry on it. We become still to find the truth inside of ourselves. During the process you will be supported by a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie. Staff: The event will be led by Sylvia Dreiser Farnsworth, Life Transition Coach and Certified Facilitator for The Work, and organized by Heather Desrocher, former Director of Religious Exploration at UUCGN, who has practiced The Work for twelve years.
